Now that we have reached a quieter part of the year I am going to start analysing some past data in depth, particularly the cricket. Anyone who has purchased this months issue of the X-Report will have seen that there were some very interesting trends occurred in the Champions League Twenty 20 and I fully intend to go back over the last 2 seasons of IPL stats to see if these findings continue.

I believe the first IPL tournament was quite poor with many one sided matches. The second series on the other hand was completely the opposite and now I believe teams are used to playing these matches and know how to hit or defend certain scores. Basically I will be looking to see if there are any patterns emerging within certain score ranges as I believe this could be particularly profitable if you find the right scenario.

The test match season starts again next week with 5 major test series taking place over the next 2 or 3 months. Over this period I will be looking at all of the matches in depth and then looking to categorise various games. Again looking for examples of various scenarios repeating themselves. The last Ashes series gave me a reasonable base on which to build on and I am hoping that the next 15 test matches will enable me to have a more insightful view as regarding different scenarios. Providing the games are not one sided from the start there are some excellent trading opportunities to be had in these matches.
